Plus, with over five million sales shipped within the first year, publisher Activision was quick to celebrate their global accomplishment. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice went on to win multiple awards after its 2019 launch - one of which was Game of the Year at The Game Awards, as well as several others that range from best-selling narrative to visual achievement. Although, it might be worth holding off on paying the full price for the game, you know - “just in case.” But then again, there's no telling where the game will end up, or even if it'll drop at all. With a podcast that focuses on the Xbox world and all of its little secrets, it wouldn't be unusual for us to point the finger towards that area instead of the PlayStation Plus service. Going on from Baker's history, it's clear that the Xbox domain is predominantly his source for information regarding leaks and teasers. If you’re thinking of buying Sekiro in the next couple of months or so….maybe hold off. Though, we can't turn a blind eye to a credible source.
In fact, we're practically running on fumes on this one. After all, thanks to the rather cryptic tweet from Baker, we're not exactly flustered with juicy details. We're also not guaranteeing that, if Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice does hit the free market - it'll even be for PlayStation, and not Xbox Game Pass. Of course, we take everything with a grain of salt here on - which is why we're not putting all of our chips on the award-winning game coming to the PlayStation Plus service over the coming weeks. Baker was, in fact, one of the first on the scene to put forward the Square Enix game as one of the freebies for PS Plus in March 2021. Take the Final Fantasy VII Remake, for example. Although we're running off of rumors on this, leaker Nick Baker has proved to put forward some credible hints in the past over both PlayStation and Xbox releases. Heads up PlayStation Plus subscribers - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice might just be lurking around the corner as an upcoming freebie.
